Get Ready for Ribfest!
Mark your calendar as “Smoke This” Rib Fest is coming to East Cambridge this Sunday, October 4 from noon to 4pm courtesy of the East Cambridge Business Association.
The Rib Fest is “a culinary showdown pitting pit master against pit master for the title of the best ribs in town.”
Here at GeekOffices we are more than a little surprised to see that, with less than a week to go, perennial favorite East Side Bar and Grille has yet to enter the competition, though we can’t wait to get our greasy fingers on whatever our new neighbors Lone Star & Loyal Nine will be serving.
Other Rib Fest participants include Abigail’s, ARTBAR, Atwood’s Tavern, Cambridge Brewing Co., the Cambridge Police Department Pitmasters, Catalyst, Champions, Commonwealth, East Coast Grill, Filarmonica Santo Antonio, Hops N Scotch, Lord Hobo, Ole M
exican Grill, Portugalia, Puritan & Co., Rindge Vocational Culinary Arts Students, State Park and Trina’s Starlight Lounge.
The event also includes live music by local favorites Vapors of Morphine, Silks, Monday Night Bluegrass, and Roy Sludge Trio, kids games put on by The East End House, and a raffle including a smoker donated by yours truly, Geek Offices.
The Rib Fest and street fair will take place just down the street from Geek Offices on Cambridge Street between Fulkerson St and Fifth St. Bring a ventilator because it’s about to get smokey!
